London based artist Penny Herridge specialises in high quality bespoke mural and trompel’oel paintings that will bring a sense of vibrancy and interest to any given space. Trompel’oel literally means ‘Trick of the eye’ and is one of the techniques Penny uses to create an illusion of three-dimensional depth on a flat surface.

Using a broad spectrum of media Penny can translate her client’s vision on to any surface. She creates unique interior or exterior designs for private and commercial spaces. These range from children’s nurseries, crèches, restaurants, bars, swimming pools, gyms, hospitals, shops, offices and hotels.

Every mural project brings its own challenges and merits a different approach. If not painted on a wall Penny can produce installations using a combination on different materials such as glass or wood panels and canvas. The beauty of this is that they can be moved if required and taken to new spaces.

Penny is a versatile and innovative artist and is pleased to accept challenging commissions. She enjoys creating paintings in many different styles from classical to modern and has a wide range of techniques to draw on. Although London based she is happy to travel and to date Penny has successfully completed projects in England, Spain, Zurich and Malibu California.
